Privacy Policy
CrickBase · Last updated: 12 October 2026
CrickBase ("we", "us") is a cricket scoring app operated by DUREDEV SOFTWARES PRIVATE LIMITED, 705-B, Princess Business Skypark, Bicycle Track, Indore 452011, India. This policy explains what information the CrickBase app and website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Phone number — used to sign you in with a one-time SMS code. It is never shown publicly. Other users can find you by typing your number in search, but the number itself is not displayed.
- Profile details — your name and city (required), and optionally your date of birth and a profile photo.
- Cricket data — teams you create or join, matches you organise, score or play in, ball-by-ball scores, match awards, and the career statistics calculated from them.
- Contacts (only when you choose) — if you tap "Add from Contacts", you pick one contact and only that person's name and phone number are used, to invite them to a team. We never read or upload your whole contact list.
- People you add — when you add a player, umpire or scorer, you provide their name and phone number (and optionally date of birth and city) so they can be invited and their stats tracked.
- Follows and notifications — the players you follow and the in-app notifications sent to you.
We do not use advertising, we do not track your location, and we do not sell your data.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run the app: scoring matches, building scorecards, career and tournament stats, leaderboards, and notifications.
- To let you invite other people to teams and matches (invites are sent by you, through WhatsApp).
What is public
CrickBase is built around public scorecards. Your name, city, profile photo, the teams you play for, match scores and your cricket statistics can be seen by other users and by anyone with a match link. Matches may also be live-streamed on the CrickBase YouTube channel by the match organiser.
Service providers
We use trusted providers only to run the service:
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage (servers in Mumbai, India).
- MSG91 — delivers the sign-in SMS code to your phone.
- Vercel — hosts the crickbase.com website.
- Google / YouTube — hosts live streams of matches, when an organiser chooses to go live.
All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time — see how to delete your account. Match scorecards you took part in may remain, as they also belong to the other players, but your account and personal details are removed.
Children
CrickBase is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
